Lisa Hunt, CDAL
Lisa Hunt is a Senior Executive Director for Integral Senior Living and a Certified Director of Assisted Living (CDAL). She has been the Executive Director at Claremont Place since 2012. Lisa comes to us with a background in sales and marketing in the senior industry including assisted living. Prior to joining the team at Claremont Place she acted as a hospice care representative serving LA and San Bernardino County assisted living communities for 5 years. Claremont Place was among those communities. In the late 90’s Lisa became aware of assisted living options while touring various communities to find a home for her grandmother. This sparked her passion, and providing excellent care to seniors and their loved ones became a personal mission. Lisa lives in Ontario and has a son and daughter that provide her with a constant source of joy and amazement.
Tricia Elliker is one of two Directors of Sales and Marketing and is responsible for helping people make Claremont Place their home. Prior to joining Claremont Place Tricia worked for an assisted living community in San Dimas for 11 years. Before that she was a Marketing/Case Management Director in a skilled nursing facility. When Tricia was 10 years old she went to sing at a “nursing” home with her grade school classmates and fell in love with the residents. She realized that one day she would work with seniors. Tricia cannot imagine doing anything else. In Tricia’s words “Where else can you work that you get hugs and kisses every single day?” In her free time she enjoys her horse and the loves of her life…her nephews.
Chef Glen Culbertson joined the team at Claremont Place in the fall of 2017. With a B.S. in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Cal Poly Pomona and an Advanced Culinary Arts Certificate from the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, Glen has experience in a number of dining settings including fine dining, fast casual, catering and banquets, as well as time spent as a pizza cook, wine assistant and overseeing the opening of new restaurants. Having worked in senior living residences since 2007, Chef Glen can attest to the fact that “every experience you have ever had you can apply to the resident’s dining experience.” He enjoys creating menus and finds inspiration for new menu items through the suggestions made by residents and their families. “From the point of view of a chef, it has allowed me to grow and become a better chef as now I am working with a wide variety of food items and techniques that I would not be if I was just working in one restaurant.” Chef Glen enjoys serving something that a resident has always wanted to try. Whether a new recipe is a hit or a miss with all of the residents, at least they can say they tasted it! Raised in Claremont, Chef Glen and his wife have chosen to make their home here in Claremont along with their three children, 2 boys and a girl.
Cathy Wentworth, LVN
Cathy Wentworth is an LVN and serves as the Assisted Living Director for Claremont Place. She is responsible for assessing the care needs of new residents as well as revising care plans as the needs change for all residents. In addition, Cathy oversees the provision of care by our incredible team of caregivers. Prior to joining Claremont Place, Cathy worked in the skilled nursing and acute hospital settings. Cathy loves assisted living and has many years of service in this setting. She can’t imagine working anywhere else! Cathy enjoys time with her kids and her grandchildren, especially getaways to the mountains, river and beach.
Gina DeVille, LVN
Generations Program Director Gina DeVille joined the management team at Claremont Place in 2016. An LVN with years of experience in acute care hospital settings as a home health and hospice liaison, she has met with countless patients while assessing their individual and specialized care needs and linking families with the care teams that can provide their care upon discharge. Her passion for people and for linking each individual with the care required translates well to her daily work with the memory care residents that live at Claremont Place in our Generations Memory Care. Her dedication, spirit and compassion are evident to her residents, their families and the care staff at Claremont Place that serve them. Gina is a wife and mother of three daughters.
Nicole Vazquez is the Business Office director at Claremont Place. She has been part of the assisted living profession since 2007. She began her career in a community in the San Gabriel Valley as a concierge and she knew right away that she loved working with and helping seniors and their families. Nicole quickly caught on to the Business Office functions and was promoted shortly after to a Business Office Director. We were fortunate to add Nicole to our management team in 2014. Nicole is a wife and the mother of 4 beautiful children and 2 grandchildren. She enjoys spending her free time with her family.
Henry joined the management team at Claremont Place in June 2017 as our Vibrant Life Director. He began his service to seniors in 1996 in the Culinary Services department of a large residential care community in the San Gabriel Valley. In 2000, an opportunity to take a position in Activities arose and since that time Henry has gained years of experience in developing engaging activities programming and events suited to the preferences of residents. Henry has a variety of interests including building die cast model cars, writing poetry, increasing his knowledge of computers and has an appreciation of architecture, specifically the work of Greene & Greene and Frank Lloyd Wright. An active member of Activities Directors Organization of Greater LA (ADO) since 2000, Henry’s passion for creating opportunities for interaction and witnessing the enjoyment experienced by residents provide him with great satisfaction. Henry’s greatest joy is his family. He met his wife Veronica in 1998 while working in a community in Pasadena and they have a son Brandon and daughter Katlin.
Tucker was found outside a barn in July 2015 by Tricia Elliker, Claremont Place’s Director of Sales and Marketing. Because of his timid nature, everyone assumed he’d had a rough life prior to being abandoned. Now Tucker is a new pup! He loves hiking, cuddling and sleeping. Since being rescued, Tucker has passed his Canine Good Citizen test and is working to become a Certified Therapy Dog for residents at the community!
Rylee was rescued from a puppy mill by Tricia Elliker, Claremont Place’s Director of Sales and Marketing. She was adopted on St. Patrick’s Day 2017, which inspired her Irish-themed name. Rylee loves greeting new people, eating and playing with her friends at the dog park. Since being rescued, Rylee has passed her Canine Good Citizen test and is working to become a Certified Therapy Dog for residents at the community!
